String Insulators (Cap and pin type)

These insulators are used for medium and high voltage overhead transmision and distribution lines for suspension or tension of conductor to the posts.

This insulator group comprises the following products;
- Ball and socket coupling NORMAL type chain insulators.
- Ball and socket coupling ANTI POLLUTION (FOG) type chain insulators.

The porcelain bodies of all these insulators are subject to thermal shock, hydraulic internal pressure, tension proof and electrical flashover tests.

The following tests are also performed:
IEC-383 type and sample tests
IEC-797 residual strength test
IEC-575 thermal mechanical performans tests
IEC-120 dimensions control of ball and socket coupling
IEC-372 locking device control for ball and socket coupling ANSI-C29.1 impact tests.
These insulators are made of porcelain KER 110.1 or KER 110.2 according to DIN 40685
